The Company

At Edrolo, we believe that improving education takes more than building great resources and selling them to schools. To achieve great outcomes, each school needs great support to implement our resources into teaching & learning. Our Sales team’s ethos has been built from the ground up with this in mind. We’re now looking for someone to join our Sales Operations team to enable us to positively impact as many students, teachers and school communities as possible.

The Team

You will be a member of the Sales Operations team, which is a relatively new and tight knit team at Edrolo that supports our broader Sales team in achieving our goals. This team is growing in both size and impact. Joining the team now puts you in a fantastic position to influence the trajectory of the Sales Operations team as Edrolo continues to expand nationally, and eventually internationally.

The Role

The current priority of the Sales Operation team is to reconfigure the systems and processes we have in place as we interact with our school clients. This includes choosing and implementing a new CRM and marketing tools, keeping track of the sales process end-to-end and choosing and implementing a new BI tool. Your role and expertise in this will be pivotal.

Initially, you will be balancing the maintenance of our existing sales workflows, dashboards and reports while project managing the research and implementation of new systems and processes, underpinning how we interact with our school clients. We need to be able to delight 1,000 school clients today, growing to 10,000’s of school clients in the near future.

You will also have the support of an existing Sales Operations Analyst, a Junior Sales Operations Analyst, and the Sales Leadership team, which includes two of Edrolo’s founders/CEOs.

This highly visible role is ideal for someone who deeply cares about Edrolo’s mission, and someone who likes to both project manage and roll up their sleeves to GiSD (get important *stuff* done). You will have cross-team exposure, and the role will suit a motivated individual who leverages fact-based analysis and creative thinking to solve problems.

You will thrive in this role if you are an effective communicator, a team player, highly analytical with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize with little to no guidance. Additional tasks may include bespoke reporting, process documentation and creation, change management, and other ad-hoc requests supporting the Sales team.

Key role responsibilities

  • Maintain existing sales workflows, dashboards and reports (built in Google Sheets and a work of art :P )
  • Ensure the accuracy of our sales forecasts
    • Ensuring business rules are integrated into our sales forecasts
    • Support the Sales team with data entry processes
    • Conducting regular sales forecasting checks, including the maintenance of calculations and assumptions
  • Maintain and create ad hoc sales-related reports and extract insights for the Sales Leadership team including:
    • sales forecast reports
    • sales funnel reports
    • backward looking sales cycle analysis to uncover key learnings
  • Project manage the research and implementation of new sales workflows, dashboards and reports
    • This will be underpinned by a new CRM and marketing tool, most likely HubSpot, and an off-the-shelf BI tool
  • Empower our Sales team to more effectively perform their roles
    • e.g. searching for patterns in teacher, student and school leader behaviour, both “in the sales funnel” and “in our resources” that can help guide how we should be interacting with them more effectively
  • Share data insights across the company
    • As part of a cross-team group, share data knowledge, align, and improve the way we use data across Edrolo
  • Ability to co-work with and delegate tasks to an existing Junior Sales Operations Analyst
  • Other tasks as required.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor degree equivalent or higher
  • 3-8 years experience in Business Intelligence or Sales Operations
    • We are solving for finding the right person and can adjust the responsibilities based on your experience and skill set

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the levers which impact Edrolo’s sales performance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Very strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding achievement in aspects of professional or learning life
  • Ability to present the results of complex analysis clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences
  • Equally happy working independently and on team projects
  • Full Australian working rights are required
  • Basic skills in SQL a plus
  • Experience with HubSpot a plus
  • Access to a car a plus, as we often visit our school clients

The offer

  • Opportunity to work with a passionate, driven, and growing team positively impacting the lives of young people and their teachers
  • Career progression within the team or broader company for high achievers
  • Tech startup vibe office in a convenient Fitzroy location (albeit working from home at present!)
  • No complex hierarchy or politics
  • Close proximity to two of Edrolo’s founders and a market-leading Sales Leadership team
  • Smart-casual dress and flexible working hours, including remotely from home where applicable
  • Regular team events, dinners, and drinks
