Do you want to have a big impact at a fast-growing, Australian, venture-backed startup on a worthy mission? Are you looking to share your skills and knowledge to help thousands of Victorian students to improve their learning? If you’ve answered yes to both of these questions, then this job opportunity at Edrolo could be what you’re looking for.

About the role:

Edrolo is fully integrated. This means that in addition to building our own technology, running internal sales teams, and working with clients to ensure they get great outcomes, we also develop all of our education content in-house.

To continue improving education in all ways possible, we are building an entirely new and exciting VCE resource for 2020 for schools across Victoria. The majority of your role will see you creating theories and interesting questions which students can relate to and engage with.

Based in our Fitzroy office, the role allows you the opportunity to work closely with enthusiastic and spirited people who are passionate about improving education and creating the best educational resource we can. This role would best suit current university students who are looking for a casual flexible position that will work with their study commitments.

If you can demonstrate the following you’re the person we’re looking for:

  • You have achieved a high study score in one or more of the following subjects:
    • VCE Psychology
    • VCE Biology
    • VCE Chemistry
    • VCE Physics
    • VCE Business Management
    • VCE Health and Human Development
    • VCE Legal Studies
      • You will be looked on favourably if you have experience tutoring one or more of these subjects.
  • You have strong written English skills
  • You will be available to work in the office at least 3 days per week (minimum 20 hrs per week)
  • You are detail oriented and have a strong focus on quality of work
  • You are a self-starter, with strong time management skills

Key role responsibilities:

  • Create theories, questions, fully worked solutions and answers for a VCE textbook in your subject area
  • Review other team members’ work for errors and provide individual feedback for areas of improvement
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with colleagues
  • Other tasks as may be required

The offer:

  • Opportunity to help create the VCE resource you wish you had in high school
  • A casual position with flexible working arrangements including working from home when required
  • Competitive hourly rates
  • Enjoyable and interactive workplace with a strong focus on professional and personal development
  • Location will be in our Fitzroy office
  • Regular team events, dinners, and drinks

While we appreciate all applications, being a small business means we cannot get back to all applicants, so only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Successful applicants will be asked to attend a group interview in which you will be performing tasks related to the position.
